Mobiles Marionettentheater Berlin, Thomas Herfort - Kabaré Púpala
Nach meinen Kunst- und Designstudium in Deutschland und Spanien fing ich an, meine ersten Theaterpuppen in Barcelona für andere Puppenspieler zu bauen.
Maestro Pepe Otal vom "Taller de Marionetas" und viele Kollegen aus der ganzen Welt haben dazu beigetragen, dass ich meine Werke nicht mehr aus der Hand gab und meine teils wilden und farbenfrohen Kreaturen selber bespiele.
Nach einem Besuch in Berlin habe ich mich in diese Stadt verliebt und 2008 mein eigenes mobiles Marionettentheater hier gegründet.
Seitdem habe ich mit meinen Marionetten auf Festivals in über 30 Ländern gespielt.
Zum anderen zeige ich hauptsächlich Kindern in Schulen und Festivals auf der ganzen Welt wie man ganz einfach in einer von mir konzipierten Technik aus trockenem Zeitungspapier und Krepp Klebeband Marionetten baut.
Seitdem habe ich mit meinen Marionetten auf Festivals in über 30 Ländern gespielt.

Since my childhood I have been making figures out of all sorts of materials.
After studying arts and Design in Germany and Spain, I started to build my first professional marionettes in Barcelona for theater groups.
Maestro of marionettes Pepe Otal and many colleagues from all over the world contributed to the fact that i stop to give away my beloved creations to other puppeteers and started to manipulate them myself.
Since than I performed at festivals in more than 30 countries.
On the other hand, I show mainly children all around the globe how to build marionettes using some dry newspaper and painters scotch-tape, a technique i created and i also use for creating professional string-marionettes.
